GENESIS 1:4

"And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

Inner Meaning

This verse describes the first awakening of consciousness within the evolving soul. “Light” symbolizes the initial stirring of spiritual awareness, the Higher Self beginning to shine through the primordial chaos of the lower nature. “Darkness” represents the unpurified, undifferentiated state of the lower planes, carnal mind, before the soul begins its ascent.
