DURĀSRŌBO, THE KARAP
A symbol of the kamic or astral principle of the
lower nature, in its lower instinct quality.
"The plotting Durāsrōbo, as a punishment for his wickedness in
endeavouring to thwart the righteous (Zoroaster), comes to a violent
and strange end." - A. V. W. JACKSON, Zoroaster, p. 32.
The lower instinct-nature comes to an end inasmuch as when the rein
of reason is put on it to restrain it then transmutation takes
place, and the lower desires, as such, become to all intents and
purposes non-existent. This restraint and repudiation of lower
motives to action, is equivalent to the killing-out or suppression
of desire.
