RULERS OF THE WORLDSymbolic of the five natures which constitute the Soul. “The five shoots (of the tree of Life) are the five rulers,—the House‑ruler, the Village‑ruler, the Tribe‑ruler, the Province‑ruler, and the supreme Zara‑tust.” – Sikand‑Gumanik Vigar, S.B.E., Vol. XXIV, p. 118. These represent the fivefold constitution of the Soul: the physical, astral, lower mental, causal, and Atma‑buddhic natures. Each “ruler” governs its respective plane, forming a hierarchy of powers through which the Life of the Self manifests and evolves. The image of the five shoots of the Tree of Life expresses the organic unity of these levels, all rooted in the one spiritual essence yet branching into distinct modes of consciousness and experience. |
