RĂ, OR RÅ HARMAKHIS, THE EVER LIVING

A symbol of the Logos, either unmanifest or manifest. The Supreme Self or the Higher Self.

"I (Ra) am he who came into being in the form of Khepera. I became the creator of all that came into being. Heaven existed not, nor earth, nor had been created the things of the earth. I raised them up from out of Nu, from a state of inactivity."-BUDGE, Gods of the Egyptians, Vol. I. p. 308.

The Supreme Self manifests as the Indwelling Self (Khepera). The Self is the emanator of all that appears. In the beginning, the higher nature (heaven) did not exist, neither did the lower (earth), nor had the lower forms and qualities commenced to evolve. The Self proceeded to emanate the Universe from Truth-reality (Nu), from a state of latency.

"In the year 363 of the reign of Ra Harmakhis, the Ever Living. Ra was in the land of Nubia with his warriors, but foes conspired against him." - WIEDEMANN, Rel. of Anc. Egyptians, p. 69.

The number 363 refers to the Divine Triad, Will, Wisdom, Action, which is in abscondito in the first figure 3; manifests in the dual aspect-Spirit-matter, in 6; and returns victorious in the last 3, thus completing 12, the summation of the cycle (year 3+ 6 + 3 = 12).

In the cycle of manifestation in twelve stages, at a time when it was determined that 8 Solar System should proceed forth, the Logos, or Sun-god, lay in the state of negation, or land of the shadow," with his attributes and potencies. Then duality transpired there came forth against him the powers of evil, for there had arisen the opposites, the sense of good and evil, repulsion as well as attraction, and will fore-shadowed as preference. The dawn of manifestation with birth of a System is always attended by a Divine sacrifice.
