MARROW

A symbol of the atmic plane, the innermost spiritual nature of the soul.

"Now it was those five bodily parts of Pragâpati that became relaxed, -hair, skin, flesh, bone and marrow, -they are those five layers of the fire altar; and when he builds up the five layers, thereby he builds him up by those bodily parts.” - Sata. Bráh., VI. 1, 2, 17.

At the end of a manifesting cycle are of the Divine Life (Pragâpati), there is an indrawal of the Divine Breath, and the five planes cease from activity. The five planes of the manifest are the physical (hair), astral (skin), mental (flesh), buddhic (bone), and atmic (marrow). These "members" of the Archetypal Man (Pragâpati), and they constitute the nature of the soul (fire altar). The soul is evolved to perfection through the expression of the Self on the five planes.
