GEMS, STRINGS OF
Emblematic of buddhic functionings productive of virtues in harmony with each other.
“Friends brought Buddha strings of gems exactly like wreaths of plants." - Buddha-Karila, Bk. II.
In the Soul are established the functionings upon the buddhic or emotional plane. The allusion to "wreaths of plants" is made because the idea suggests the budding of the feeling within the lower nature which will afterwards yield "fruit," that is, higher emotions.
