GARDEN OF FLOWERS AND FRUIT
This symbol signifies a state of the soul in which virtues (flowers) blossom, and the higher emotions (fruit) ripen on the buddhic plane.
“And their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. - JER. Xxxi. 12.
The water of Truth fructifies the buddhic plane whereon is no ignorance or suffering.
“ 'Gardens ' and groves' signify wisdom and intelligence, and every tree something thereof,-as the olive, the good of love; the vine, truth from that good; the cedar, rational good and truth." - SWEDENBORG, T. C. R. n. 204.
