ELIJAH THE RESTORER
A symbol of the spiritualized emotion nature which on the form side of being gathers and collects the experiences necessary to development and restoration of the soul.
“Elijah indeed cometh, and shall restore all things: but I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him what-soever they listed. Even so shall the Son of Man also suffer of them." - MATTHEW xvii. 11, 12.
The spiritualised emotion-nature is born in the soul as one of the successive steps in the evolution of the soul, whose nature is many sided, and parts of whose character appear under different conditions at various times in the development and restoration of the whole. At first the lower qualities do not recognise the superior status of the higher emotion-nature, and so they disregard and abuse it. The case is the same when the spiritual-nature is born in the soul as "Son of mind," for the lower qualities then condemn and seek to kill out that which appears as a stern opponent of the desire-nature.
