DEATH OF A STATE OR CONDITION

A symbol of the withdrawal of life from a stage of growth or development of the soul. This occurs when the stage has effected the purpose for which it existed. Each soul-state is a specific limitation of the life within, and as the life evolves, the states begin to cramp, so that old states have to pass away and new states take their place after many degrees of overlapping.

"A truth or principle is that all life tends to encrust itself, to imprison Itself within itself, and that its crust needs to be constantly broken and returned into the general mass out of which it was formed, in order that the best influences may be received.
