CRETE

A symbol of a state of perfect peace on the higher buddhic levels.

"The Argonauts thence proceeded to Crete, where Talus the brazen man, prohibiting their landing, was slain by the art of Medea." - Argonautic Expedition

When the aspiring Soul with its advanced qualities reaches the condition of peace, the critical faculty (Talus) delays its arrival, but is eventually superseded by Wisdom (Medea).

"Minos had Zeus for his father. At nine years old he received revelations from Zeus, and reigned over all Crete.' - W. E. GLADSTONE, Juventus Mundi, p. 119.

The Divine Will proceeded from the Supreme. At the appointed time when all preparations were made, the Divine Will established ideal conditions on the buddhic plane. This was in the golden age of involution, when there was no strife.
