COURSE, OR HORSE-RIDING GROUND
A symbol of the mental plane, as the arena of of experience and progress.
"The time of my departure is come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day." - 2 TIм. iv. 6-8.
This represents the soul's victory over the lower nature, the attainment of liberation, and the acquirement of the results of experience, which are laid up on the buddhic plane to which the consciousness rises at the end of the cycle.
