"What is the Book of Mysteries? It consists, said R. Shimon ben Yo'hai, of Five Chapters, contained in a grand palace and filling the whole universe. If, replied Rabbi Yehuda, they contain the fundamental ideas, they would be the most excellent of all things! And so they are, replied R. Shimon, for the initiated." - MYER, Qabbalah, p. 101.
In the manifestation of the Logos (book of Life) there are five planes, and these are comprised in the Macrocosm. If these five planes, namely, the atmic, buddhic, mental, astral, and physical planes, contain all that is necessary for the soul's perfection, then the soul as the microcosm will ultimately attain in actuality the perfection of the Macrocosm.
