BIRDS OF THE HEAVENA symbol of the Elder Brethren of humanity: those Egos who have “gone before,” and who—having aspired to the things which are above, and conquered the things below—are now free and able agents of the Supreme working upon the buddhic plane. These Egos, not having any lower nature, are unlikely ever to use vehicles of matter below the higher mental plane, though they could, of course, do so if they chose, because they necessarily have command of all lower conditions. But they act under the Divine law never to assist the lower until the lower is ready and prepared to receive help from them and profit by it. |
